Step 1, 2 and 3: design your own dreamhouse
It is just like playing with bricks, when you try out our builder. Twist and turn the house of modules until you have found the right solution. You can keep on combining ideas without changing functionality or esthetics, because everything fits perfectly together.
When the ideas come together in one sketch Add A Room makes a set of CAD drawings for your building permit. The CAD drawings are free off charge when you buy an Add A Room house.
If you need help with your building project, we are happy to help. We for instance offer:
- A visit at our production facilities in Skjern, Denmark
- Try living in one of our Add A Room houses in Sweden
- Get a visit from architect Lars Frank at your building site
- Get help with the project management by our Danish sales agent Kirsten.
Step 4: preparation before delivery
If you have ordered a house including electrical and plumbing work, you need to have professionals to both prepare and connect the house. Before delivery you have prepared the foundation for incoming electrical and plumbing services, so the house can be directly attached.
Step 5 and 6: Delivery of the finished house
The house is complete upon arrival and will be delivered by a truck including a crane. The house is lifted via built in hooks in the roof, directly in place: plug ‘n play!
All houses are transported and lifted into place. Therefore, it is crucial that a truck can access the building site, where the house is to be placed. Or that we can lift the house into its place with a bigger crane on site.
Step 7 and 8: the last connection
The building phase is almost at the end. If you have bought several modules, we just need to attach them. This will be done by professionals from Add A Room – we need about one day per connection.
When you buy a house with electrical and/or plumbing work a professional must connect the house. It usually takes half a day per module.
Now your dream house is ready for you to move in.
